Team – one year ago today, President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law!

Mere weeks before that historic event, some folks lost hope in passing ambitious, generational change – but we weren’t ready to throw in the towel. We knew keeping everyone at the table would get the job done. So did you.

And, that’s exactly what happened. We lowered prescription drug prices, expanded healthcare coverage, and passed the single LARGEST climate rescue investment in history. And we paid for all of it by making corporations and the ultra rich pay their fair share.

The Inflation Reduction Act is one of our proudest accomplishments in the Senate. Let’s continue the fight for progress. Can you chip in $10 to help us keep delivering for Colorado families?

The law includes $369 billion to transition to clean energy technologies and reduce emissions, and $10 billion for home efficiency like heat pumps/electric stoves – making it cheaper for families to heat and cool their home all while creating millions of good-paying, clean energy jobs.

We knew the Inflation Reduction Act would have a huge impact on Colorado – but it’s great to see the success already. It’s spurring expansions like the wind turbine manufacturing facility in Brighton and solar plant in Colorado Springs.

That’s a win-win for hard-working Coloradans and our planet.

And that's not all! The Inflation Reduction Act also lowered health care and prescription drug costs, saving millions of people a lotta dough!

And do you want to know what the best part of all this is? It’s entirely paid for! We’re making the largest corporations pay their fair share AND closing loopholes that the wealthy use to cheat on their tax bill. There’s even money leftover to reduce the deficit by $300 million.

Talk about a rip-roaring success.

So on the anniversary of this bill's passage, it is important to remember: Our slim Democratic majority made this all possible!

If Washington Republicans had control of the Senate – even just one more seat – they would have blocked this bill.
