John,
We’re taking to the streets today in Washington DC to protest the Chamber of Commerce and Big Pharma corporations for suing the federal government over the attempt to rein in price gouging.
Medical costs―largely prescription drug prices―consume one-third of the average Social Security check. These greedy corporations want that amount to go up, until every dollar of your retirement check goes into their pockets.
We’re expecting good press coverage today for our protest and our billboard―but it’s 87 degrees and HUMID in Washington DC today. Can you chip in $7 to make sure we have enough water for seniors to stay in the streets and make a scene?
Multiply-indicted disgraced former President Donald Trump likes to call Washington DC a swamp―and the truth is, the weather is pretty swampy in August. It’s humid and sunny, and the last thing we want is for anyone to suffer medical complications for standing up to Big Pharma greed.
We’ve got some water bottles, but I just got a turnout estimate from some of our coalition partners and I’m worried we won’t have enough.
Can you rush a $7 donation to help seniors keep standing up to Big Pharma greed?
Thank you,
Michael Phelan Social Security Works
