When I first started in politics, I was a high school student in Orangeburg, South Carolina, registering voters so everyone could participate in our democracy. I realized what a significant impact that work had on folks in my hometown, and I was determined to keep going -- to make a difference in my community and beyond.

I’ve learned a lot since then, but there’s one lesson that’s stuck with me from the get-go: when we work together, we can deliver real, lasting change.

We’ve made so much progress over these last few years. Thanks to the leadership of the Biden-Harris team and Democrats in Congress, we’ve taken historic action on climate change, lowered costs for millions of families, supported our veterans, and created more than 13 million jobs.

But if we’re going to keep building on that progress, we have to invest in the necessary resources now to prepare for the long haul, and help elect Democrats at every level of government.
