This week, Mark was at Hampton and Norfolk State Universities visiting with some of Virginia’s (and the world’s!) future leaders in some of the schools he fought to support in the Senate.

In December, Mark backed the bipartisan FUTURE Act, restoring $4 million in funding for historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in Virginia — and $255 million in funding nationwide. These schools are the foundation of America’s higher education system, and serve millions of talented students across the country. Passing this legislation was an investment in our students. Our leaders.

The FUTURE Act was just one example of how members of the Senate can still work together on a bipartisan basis to do right by the people they serve. Mark has always been committed to finding honest and actionable solutions to help all Virginians. That’s why it’s crucial that we keep him in the Senate fighting for us.
