If Ruben wins in November it will be because we managed three factors well: People, time, and money.

We’ll start with our people. That’s you. We’re putting a lot of work into building up our grassroots team right now, the people who fund this campaign and will make calls and knock the doors through Election Day. But it takes a lot of time to build that up.

Today, time is on our side. But it’s ticking down, and we don’t have as much of it as we think. Between now and Election Day, we have five more quarterly FEC deadlines. We set big goals for those deadlines, and we’re already halfway to our next one.

And finally, the money. That’s how all of this moves. Money for staff, money for organizing, money for advertising. It’s going to take millions of dollars to win.

And here’s the truth: We can manage our time and our people better than anyone, but if we don’t have the money we need, it will all be for nothing.

Kyrsten Sinema’s not going to have any trouble raising millions from the wealthy and well connected when she announces. And Kari Lake is the MAGA Queen — Trump’s millions of supporters will rally behind her.
