Canadians need real leadership, friend.

It’s been almost one year since Pierre Poilievre became leader of the Conservative Party after running a campaign on fear and division – and the Conservatives are showing not much has changed since then.

In a recent fundraising email, Poilievre’s Conservatives embraced deeply divisive and far-right politics by promoting “debunked claims that the World Economic Forum is attempting to impose its agenda on sovereign governments” (The Canadian Press, August 13, 2023).

And when the Canadian Press reported it, Pierre Poilievre doubled down on his stance attacking the press and calling the report a “hit piece”:

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Poilievre and his Conservatives peddling these narratives: he’s been recklessly touting conspiracy theories including encouraging Canadians to invest their life savings in volatile cryptocurrencies to “opt-out” of inflation.


Canadians deserve real leadership, friend. While Pierre Poilievre and his Conservatives continue playing divisive political games, our Liberal team is staying focused on keeping Canada moving forward by making life more affordable and growing an economy that works for all Canadians.
