John,
We’re currently witnessing the deadliest wildfires in over a century as they devastate Maui and Hawai’i. My heart is with the families and friends who have lost their loved ones in this disaster, as well as the communities still actively working to put out the fires and treat the wounded.
These climate-related disasters are becoming more frequent, destructive, and expensive to recover from for the communities who face them. We need to make our healthcare facilities more resilient and support frontline workers so people can get the help and care they need when disasters like this strike.
As the residents of Maui continue to fight the flames, please join me in making a contribution to the Hawai’i Community Foundation’s Maui Strong Fund. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go towards rapid response and recovery efforts.
We can’t afford to watch from the sidelines as communities burn and drown while first responders and hospitals struggle to meet the mounting threats of climate change. By donating to the Maui Strong Fund, you’re helping communities in need of support in the days and weeks to come. In solidarity, Ro |
