MAGA Republicans in Congress are pushing an extremist agenda and are increasingly emboldened to take radical partisan action.

The examples are everywhere. Radical Republicans used the National Defense Authorization Act to restrict access to abortion for women in the military and roll back climate mitigation efforts. They used Armed Services Committee hearings meant for serious debate on force readiness and military academy curriculum to debate the term ‘woke.’ MAGA extremists are threatening to impeach President Biden while working to expunge Donald Trump’s impeachments. All the while, they are holding up immensely important legislation and further attacking reproductive freedom for women across the country.

None of it makes sense. It’s ridiculous political grandstanding. They’re making a mockery of Congress and derailing our efforts to pass legislation — and Pat is fed up.

While Congress, the People’s House , is reduced to a playground for partisan fights — there are a few things that keep us going:

The GOP has the majority by just FIVE votes.

That means if we flip five seats next year and hold on to toss-up seats like Pat’s, we can restore decency and democracy in Congress. We can go back to legislating, to making progress, to delivering much-needed relief.

It won’t be easy — Republicans are breaking fundraising records month after month.

But if this team stays the course, we can raise what it takes to support Democrats in New York and reach every voter in the Hudson Valley.
