John, we'll make this quick.
Did you catch this headline?
Apparently, DeSantis thought that elected official State Attorney Monique Worrell deserved to be fired due to being soft on crime, as in, she supports care instead of punishment with the use of alternatives to incarceration and restorative justice programs. It's a far-right, Republican scare tactic that we've seen time and again.
It's clear that DeSantis needed something to make him “president-worthy” since his bid is nothing short of failing. From his pro-slavery comments to racist book bans, all the way to his anti-abortion policies – he's not doing great.
Unfortunately for him, the unconstitutional and dictator-style move of firing a duly elected official from office didn't make him “president-worthy” at all. As a matter of fact, it further proved how dangerous he would be as President. He would regress this country and do irreversible damage that would especially disproportionately impact Black communities.
Time and again, it's been made abundantly clear: DeSantis can never become President of the United States. Help fuel our efforts to ensure his bid fails >>
