John, for the past few years, I've been working overtime to raise money to help elect progressive candidates and women of color up and down the ballot.

Now, I'm facing a steep fundraising deficit in what is no doubt the toughest fight of my career, and I urgently need your help ahead of tonight's mid-month deadline: I'm $14,896 short of my critical goal.

California's Senate race is expected to be one of the most competitive and expensive Senate primaries in our nation's history, which is why I'm incredibly concerned that two of my opponents brought in over $11 million combined last quarter.

Listen, while I don’t need to raise the most money in this race, I do need to raise enough to stay competitive, hit my goals and ensure I have the resources needed to inform voters of my vision of a progressive future. And with MAGA extremists hellbent on stripping away our fundamental rights, I can't emphasize just how important this election is.

John, I'm ready to fight with everything I've got to close that gap and take the lead. I can win in California – but without you, I won't be able to compete with my opponents who are raising millions to tip the scales in their favor.

The bottom line is this: I simply won't be able to pull ahead and win this race without an immediate surge in resources to help reach more California voters with my message.
