On a scale of 1 to 5, how annoying are unwanted robocalls?
Hey,
You know the story: you look down at your phone, see an unfamiliar number calling you, but answer it anyway because it has your same area code. You assume it's the doctor calling you back with your lab results, the food delivery guy with your dinner, or your car local car repair shop letting you know your vehicle is ready for pick-up.
But instead, it's a scammer with some bogus story about a loan you never took out. Last December alone, over 121.2 million unwanted robocalls were made in New Jersey. Scammers often use robocalls to prey on unsuspecting people hoping to coax money or sensitive information out of them. It's wrong and it needs to be stopped!
Donald is proud to have helped pass the bipartisan Stopping Bad Robocalls Act to end these annoying and predatory calls once and for all. Policy-making isn't always glamorous, but new laws like these really have an impact on working families. Making ends meet and keeping your family healthy and happy is hard enough -- the last thing you need is a barrage of robocalls spamming your cell phone.
But Donald wants to hear from you now, friend. Take the robocall poll today to share your thoughts on this issue.
Thanks,
