I wanted to make sure you saw Jennifer’s message from Saturday. It was the anniversary of the House passing the Inflation Reduction Act (but tomorrow is the anniversary of President Biden signing this historic legislation – so the subject is still worth a mention!).
Democrats like Jennifer getting elected to Congress in the first place and taking the majority in 2018 are why we were able to pass bills like the Inflation Reduction Act. If we want to see further legislative progress and re-take the House, we need to keep Jennifer fighting strong in 2024 — and ready to face another tough challenge from Republicans.

Exactly one year ago today, JOhn, I voted to pass the Inflation Reduction Act through the House. I was so proud to support a historic piece of legislation that is already making a real difference for families across the country.
This landmark bill addressed the rising costs of living by helping folks pay for gas and prescription drugs. It strengthened the Affordable Care Act to make health insurance even more accessible. It’s raising critical revenue by making the wealthiest corporations finally pay their fair share of taxes. And it was our country’s biggest investment ever in clean and alternative energy — laying the groundwork to jumpstart a new era in combating climate change and maintaining a good quality of life.
From the start, Republicans strongly opposed this legislation. Ever since they took control of the House, they’ve tried to gut the Inflation Reduction Act — and they’re going to try even harder as we enter a government funding fight in September. If we want to secure the progress of our landmark legislation and continue to deliver for the American people, we need to re-take the House in 2024.
