EGLE seeks proposals for Climate Pollution Reduction Program support

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy's (EGLE) Office of Climate and Energy released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Climate Pollution Reduction Program (CPRG) support to help implement the MI Healthy Climate Plan.

Released in 2022, the MI Healthy Climate Plan [ [link removed] ] provides a roadmap to needed capacity building and actions for state prioritization, identifying the following categories to reach its goal of carbon neutrality by 2050:


* Committing to Environmental Justice and Pursuing a Just Transition
* Cleaning the Electric Grid
* Repairing and Decarbonizing Homes and Businesses
* Electrifying Vehicles and Increase Public Transit
* Protecting Michigan?s Land and Water
* Driving Clean Innovation in Industry

Funding from the U.S. EPA?s Climate Pollution Reduction Grants (CPRG) [ [link removed] ] program provides grants to states to develop and implement plans for reducing GHG emissions and other harmful air pollution. Through the CPRG program, Michigan will build upon and continue implementation of the MI Healthy Climate Plan.?

EGLE seeks contractor support to assist with one or all of the following tasks related to the Climate Pollution Reduction Program: 1) facilitating stakeholder engagement; 2) program management; 3) GHG inventory, energy modeling and analysis of benefits; 4) low-income and disadvantaged community (LI-DC) benefits analyses; and the completion of other key tasks and deliverables for the CPRG program.
