We have some insight on our Republican opponents and the support they’re gathering to try to turn our district red. And don’t worry, we’re keeping tabs on them so you don’t have to!

Right now, Republicans Matt Leiv and James Marter are leading the pack, consistently raising money to fund their campaigns to try and make Lauren look bad. We continue to shake our heads at these two.

James might be the most extreme of the bunch. He campaigns on a nationwide abortion ban and repealing the Affordable Care Act. He’s even attacked Lauren directly attempting to smear her record and condemning her for standing in unity with her Democratic colleagues.

Meanwhile, Matt ironically believes, “The radical woke agenda that has infiltrated our society threatens the values we hold dear and undermines the future of our children.” Enough said, Matt.

The downside: Our opponents are going to spend a lot of time and money in the 14th district spreading their right-wing message and trying to distort and distract from Lauren’s record of helping working families.

The upside: As long as we hit our fundraising goals, we’ll stay ahead of our opponents’ mounting campaigns against us.
