The two-year temporary immigration status for Afghan evacuees is set to expire soon. The uncertainty around their immigration status has had concrete effects on Afghans&rsquo; employment, housing, and mental health, complicating their path to stability in the US. They face a backlogged immigration system and a lack of information and pro bono legal assistance capacity to navigate it.
