Dear friend,
Will you become a monthly donor today to help FAMM with their lifesaving work? [link removed] [[link removed]]
Sharing stories is difficult for many dealing with a confusing and broken criminal justice system. We can feel so alone. Yet, one in two families experiences incarceration at some point in their lives.
My name is Shaneva McReynolds, and my family is affected by incarceration. I lost my first husband to a senseless act of violence, yet I believe in forgiveness, redemption, and second chances. And I know second chances work because my husband now, Jeffery, has proven they do. Since his release from prison in 2015, Jeffery has built a successful trucking business that provides many returning citizens a second chance at life.
Before becoming involved with FAMM, I felt alone and without guidance. My lawmakers were distant figures – I didn't think I could hold them accountable. With FAMM's help, I learned who exactly my lawmakers are, how to reach them, and the most effective ways to share my experiences with them.
Our justice system hurts families and communities, but FAMM is there to help. That's why we launched the 1 in 2 campaign. We need 12 new monthly donors at $12 to help fight for sentencing reform, prison oversight, and second chances – so we can help more families like mine.
Can you become a monthly donor today and help FAMM reach its goal? [link removed] [[link removed]]
Supporting FAMM means supporting thousands of people like me – people searching for light in a very dark place – and empowering advocacy.
