We’re now just 12 weeks away from Election Day, and we’re seeing Governor Youngkin galavanting around the country on the campaign trail instead of doing the job he was elected to do: negotiating essential budget amendments so we can adequately fund our public schools, hospitals, and critical social services. Billions of dollars are at stake, and our localities and agencies desperately need this funding.

While some Virginians’ jobs are on the line because of stalled budget negotiations, Youngkin is cosying up to MAGA extremists and GOP megadonors. Just last week, Youngkin received $1 million from billionaire Thomas Peterffy and was the spotlighted recipient of a major fundraising event in the Hamptons hosted by Wilbur Ross, the indicted former President’s former Commerce Secretary. 

We know that Youngkin’s focus is on his own efforts to reach the White House and not on helping Virginians. My focus is on the Commonwealth and its people. And this November, the entire Virginia General Assembly is up for election. My colleagues and I need a lot of help to hold the Majority in the Senate and regain control of the House of Delegates. We don’t have the deep pockets that Youngkin and his MAGA friends do. Can you chip in $10, $25, or $50 today so we can send the message that the power lies with the people and not megadonors? This election is incredibly important, so make sure your voice and your values are represented.
