Dear Friend,
Compassionate people from around the country have rallied to support our $600,000 Matching Gift Challenge. Now, I'm turning to you, friend. You're a friend who inspires us to keep striving for a cure. Chances are good that you, like me, have experienced the devastation of Alzheimer's in your own community, and with people you know and care about. You understand that it's never been more urgent to fight this cruel disease with everything we have.
Right now, you have a special opportunity to come together with others in the Alzheimer's Association community, combine your support and multiply YOUR impact 2X for those living with Alzheimer's disease. That's because longtime supporters, Dick and Marianne Kipper, have pledged to match every donation we receive, up to a total of $600,000, if we can raise the same amount by the September 30 deadline.
The Kippers' gift will help fund vital Alzheimer's research, while your donation can be matched to help provide care and support and accelerate research.
By doubling your impact, you can bring hope to those affected by Alzheimer's.
Please take the next step in your commitment by making your first gift of $11 or more today to represent the more than 11 million caregivers in the United States. These amazing people, many of whom are family members to people living with Alzheimer's, inspire us with their compassion, dedication and courage. They need your help now — and your first gift can go 2X as far.

Every gift gets us closer to our $600,000 goal — and closer to our vision of a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia.
Time is of the essence. Today, more than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's. That number is expected to more than double by 2050. We need your support to help us continue to be there for the millions of Americans who will receive this devastating, life-changing diagnosis in the coming years.
Our mission is to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. Friends like you, who care about this cause, can help make new findings and discoveries for treatment possible. You can also help ensure care and support get to those who need it.
Your support strengthens our efforts to make Alzheimer's a national priority. This work is crucial to encourage legislation that will increase research funding and improve the lives of those affected by Alzheimer's. And it's working. There are now Food and Drug Administration-approved treatments that slow the progression for people living with early Alzheimer's.
There's still work to do. We won't rest until everyone living with Alzheimer's — at any stage — can get the treatment, care and support they need and deserve. We need to remove barriers to access and emphasize the importance of early detection and diagnosis for those who might benefit from these and other emerging treatments. And more treatments that target the disease at every angle are needed.
That's why I'm asking you to make your first gift today, while your donation can go TWICE as far.
Friend, we are at a critical turning point in our fight to end this devastating disease — and your support is vital. Don't let this chance slip away.
Please give now while you have the chance to double your impact and make a lasting difference in the lives of millions. Together, we can transform the landscape of Alzheimer's and dementia care, support and research.
Sincerely,
Donna McCullough
Chief Mission and Field Operations Officer
P.S. This is one of the times when your help is needed most. Please make your first gift today while you can achieve 2X the impact. The energy of a movement comes from its community, and we can't achieve this important match goal without your generosity and commitment.
