You know you live in wild times when a former president of the United States gets two indictments within 2 weeks and 4 in 5 months.
But this isn’t the answer to the problems facing our democracy. We’ve said it before—and we’ll repeat it as many times as Donald Trump gets indicted, so like, a bunch of times—Trumpism will be defeated at the ballot box, not in the courtroom. There’s already evidence to suggest that people are paying less and less attention with each passing indictment. (What a sentence!)
So even as we celebrate some positive steps for justice and the rule of law, we’re recommitting to organizing our butts off for the next 16ish months.
These wild times get even wilder when you remember that the 4-time criminal defendant could also be a *future* president of the United States if we don’t give this election cycle everything we have.
