Young voters: Democrats can’t win in 2024 without them, but recent polling
shows warning signs:

[ [link removed] ]Politico: Young voters are getting less likely to identify as Dems. The
Hill: Recent polling fas found the number of young people who identify as
Democrats is on a slight decline. LA Times: Among young voters, the
combination of disengagement with news and doubts about the system can
depress voter turnout.

When it comes to engaging young voters, we as Democrats need to show
everyone that our government and our democracy can work for them. That
means having elected officials who are responsive and represent their
voters, not special interests. It means having an economy that actually
works for working people. And it means successfully communicating when we
pass meaningful legislation—it’s my job as an elected official to tell my
constituents how I can help—not the other way around! A strong economy,
that doesn’t leave people behind, will help us have a strong democracy.

In the House I represent the UC Irvine community, and reaching students
through everything from Snapchat ads and Tiktoks to campus organizers has
been a key part of our three victories.

Thanks to your support, our campaign will be able to show young voters
from all walks of life what’s at stake and remind them to vote. That’s
important here in California, where we have several Republican-held House
seats that have a strong chance of flipping blue and allowing Democrats to
take back control of the House. The chance to campaign and communicate
