Hi John,
Without a doubt this has to be the year for meaningful action to respond to the climate breakdown. With global temperatures soaring, wildfires raging, floods and the Arctic melting, the climate crisis has become impossible to deny.
In November this year the UN climate talks for world leaders (COP26) will be happening in Glasgow. This is a huge opportunity for us to mobilise to demand an end to an economic system based on corporate greed, which is deepening inequality and threatening our very existence.
As people who care about the climate, now more than ever we need to make the most of this opportunity to get our voice heard so that concrete change happens.

We need to take on corporate power to tackle the climate crisis
For decades, governments have put the interests of big business first, handing them huge amounts of power. This means corporations can exploit resources like fossil fuels without considering people and the planet, driving the climate crisis. It’s clear that we need drastic change.
COP26 will give us a platform, the public awareness and media interest to get our message across and to engage with governments to push for radical change. But we’re up against a powerful lobby.
We know corporations spend millions on trying to influence, control or block policies that could tackle climate change. Our voice has to be louder. Can you donate to help us mobilise thousands in the run up to and at COP26?

How you can make a difference
Last year we saw a huge amount of people taking action to put the climate crisis in the spotlight. By donating today, you can help us concentrate that energy around COP26. With your backing we can gain as much public support as we can to have the greatest possible impact on decision makers in the run up to COP26.
We can make sure world leaders hear our demand that if we want to address climate change we have to tackle corporate power. With your donation we could hold workshops and events across the country to engage new people and expose the role of corporations in the climate crisis.
