John,

88 years ago today, President Franklin Roosevelt signed the Social Security Act of 1935 into law.

While extremist Republicans have attempted to cut Social Security, I remain steadfast in my support for this critical program that provides support for millions of Americans. To join my fight to protect Social Security and take back the House from those who threaten to make cuts to it, add your name here. [[link removed]]

Social Security is one of America's proudest, most revolutionary, and successful achievements. It is a vital safety net for millions of senior citizens across the nation and has transformed retirement, providing millions of Americans with a sense of security.

There’s no question that our nation’s seniors deserve security and stability after working hard, and I remain committed to protecting Social Security. I will continue defending this program that has saved millions of Americans from poverty and in support of the thousands in my district whose livelihoods depend on Social Security.

While certain members in Congress will continue threatening and making attempts to cut Social Security benefits, I will continue fighting to protect it from harmful cuts. I won’t put the future of millions of Americans at risk.

To support my fight for Social Security and take back the House from those who threaten its existence, sign on to my petition here. [[link removed]]
