Hi John —
Before I ask you to [ [link removed] ]pitch in to my campaign ahead of our mid-quarter
fundraising deadline tomorrow, I want to explain why this deadline is so
important.

We’re just days away from the first Republican presidential debate of this
election season.

On Fox News during the primetime hour, the stage will be full of MAGA
extremist candidates trying to out-Trump each other to appeal to the
far-right voting base.

They’ll tout lies and misleading claims.

They’ll stomp on the meaningful, progressive policies President Biden has
passed and the truth and accountability delivered by the Select Committee
on the January 6 Attack.

And John, it’s
very likely that they’ll go after me and all the members of that
committee.

It remains to be seen whether the thrice-indicted, twice-impeached former
president will show up to the debate (he’s not happy with having to sign a
‘unity pledge’).

But regardless of whether Trump is there or not, the debate stage will be
a cacophony of MAGA talking points. They’ll defend Trump as they try to
defeat him. And they’ll tear down the people who have held him accountable
— people like me.

That’s why this deadline is so important. It’s a key opportunity to show
the strength and momentum of our campaign for the U.S. Senate.

And it’s the last chance to build up our defenses before the MAGA
presidential candidates throw attacks my way.
