Friend, my team and I just crunched the numbers, and, unfortunately, we're still about $4,300 short of our critical mid-month fundraising goal. This isn't that surprising. August is traditionally a slower time for fundraising, and I get that – politics are the furthest thing from people's minds while they're enjoying their summer vacations.

But the problem is, at this very moment, Republicans are picking up steam. Their first presidential debate of the cycle is next week, and these candidates facing off on national TV is bound to set off a bevy of fundraising. Falling short now will only put Democrats further behind!

With Republicans already in charge of the House and Donald Trump leading a crowded GOP presidential field, protecting our Democratic Senate majority has never been more important. I am personally determined to do everything I possibly can, but I need your help to raise the resources to support Democratic candidates in battleground states across the country. 

So please, friend, can I count on you to chip in now to help Democrats defeat Trump and his allies and keep the Senate blue? All of our future progress depends on it, and every grassroots donation makes a critical difference.
