** 2022-23 REFLECTIONS
------------------------------------------------------------

“The challenge these days, is to be somewhere, to belong to some particular place, invest oneself in it, draw strength and courage from it, to dwell in a community.” -bell hooks

At Challenge Success, we are grateful to work every day to improve student well-being, engagement, and belonging. Caring for students is what gets us up in the morning (and sometimes keeps us up at night.) We draw our strength and courage from you - our community of educators, students, and families. Like us, you are committed to investing your time, energy, and resources in this work. While it is challenging to express the depth of our gratitude for your partnership, we have tried to do so in our 2022-23 Annual Report ([link removed]) . We hope you enjoy reflecting on the past year as much as we did, and we look forward to another school year alongside you.

With gratitude,

Megan Pacheco

Executive Director

** Vote for Ranked + Denise Pope to Present at SXSW EDU!
------------------------------------------------------------

Our friends at Ranked, A Musical ([link removed]) have submitted a proposal to SXSW EDU along with Denise Pope! SXSW EDU uses a voting system called Panel Picker to help select presenters, and we need your vote. Please take a moment to vote it up ([link removed]) . Public voting accounts for 30% of the scoring criteria.

This student-driven musical explores the intense and brutal costs of being a "successful" student in today's schools. We are excited to help promote this project – it is a beautiful example of the importance of student agency and the power of the arts to support well-being in schools.
