Tomorrow, we will reach the mid-point of August and of the quarter, and our fundraising is not where we would like it to be.
August is known to be one of the toughest months for political fundraising — kids are returning to school, and folks are embracing the last few moments of summer — so we planned ahead, knowing this month would be difficult.
But truthfully, the results are much worse than we expected.
At this point in the month, we should be about 38% to our mid-quarter goal, but truthfully, we are only 27% there.
We know that making up that 11% is possible, but if we are going to cross that finish line, we need to have a big day today.
So will you help us close the gap? We have less than 48 hours to make up lost ground. Every single dollar will count. Whatever amount you donate — $5, $30, or $100 — will put us one step closer to reaching our goal.
