Sabato’s Crystal Ball and U.S. News & World Report named it “the marquee contest” next year. Fox News says we’re “the big gubernatorial race to watch.” Politico calls it “the most important governor race of 2024.”

2. It’s a TOSS-UP. Polls in our race currently show a statistical tie. And North Carolina is always a battleground state. In 2020, it was one of the tightest presidential election states. Trump carried the state by just over 1% of the vote.

3. National Republicans are targeting NC. The path to a GOP presidential victory runs through our state, and the top names in Republican politics have already visited NC. The national GOP machine WILL go all out to boost their candidates up and down the ballot next year. We can expect them to pour MASSIVE funds into North Carolina. That is sure to impact our race — and it’s why we need your support.
