Dear Friends,
I hope this message finds you well. About a year ago, my colleagues and I passed the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) into law. The passage of this transformational legislation was the culmination of decades of work and included some of my long-standing priorities to help tackle the climate crisis. As a legislator, I have been dogged in my pursuit of climate solutions that will have a lasting impact, and I believe strongly that this legislation is the strongest step we have taken thus far, putting us on a greener and more sustainably energy path moving forward.
As we fully implement the IRA, it is important that we maintain community engagement and communication. To this end, I hope that you will be able to join me at a town hall event at the Albany Public Library – Washington Avenue Branch, located at 161 Washington Avenue in Albany on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 5:30 P.M. to learn more about the climate provisions in the IRA, how they will impact you, and how you can utilize them. I encourage you to share this invitation with those who may be interested in learning more about the impact of the IRA.
Serving as your member of Congress is my honor, and I would greatly enjoy the opportunity to engage with you. Our continued dialogue and communication will ensure that this legislation has the maximum impact in our Capital Region communities. If you have any questions or concerns about the event, please feel free to reach out to my office in Albany at (518) 465-0700. If you’d like to RSVP for the event or submit a question for discussion, you can do so on my website HERE. I look forward to seeing you on August 16th!
As always, thank you for reading.
Your friend,
