Friend,
Today, we mark the 88th anniversary of a landmark achievement in our nation's history - the signing of the Social Security Act into law by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Social Security has since touched the lives of countless Americans, ensuring that our parents, grandparents, and future generations can retire with the dignity they deserve.
For many, Social Security is the bedrock of retirement. It isn’t just a policy – it's a promise. It’s a vow we make to one another that after a lifetime of hard work, every individual deserves the right to financial security and dignity.

We need to stand up for Social Security because, despite everything the program has done for generations of Americans, Republicans are still obsessed with taking it away.
In last year’s midterm elections, Senator Rick Scott included a ridiculous plan to put Social Security up for a vote every 5 years as part of his roadmap to regain Senate control for Republicans. Earlier this summer, the House Republican Caucus once again called on cutting benefits as a part of their budget.
The good news is that the Biden-Harris administration is ready to defend Republican attacks on Social Security at all costs.
Every signature, every voice, sends a clear message that Social Security isn’t just about numbers on a page. It’s about the stories of our grandparents who fought in World War II, our parents who built this country up in the latter half of the 20th century, and our commitment to ensuring the next generation can retire with the same dignity.
Together, we can ensure that this lifeline remains intact for generations to come.
Thank you,
