Should women have the right to plan their families?
YES! [[link removed]] NO [[link removed]]
Friend, did you know nearly half of all pregnancies in the world are unintended?
Lack of access to contraception, coercion from their partner or community, or a lack of education on sexual and reproductive health are just a few of the reasons why a woman might not be able to plan her pregnancy.
But, no matter the reason, any unintended pregnancy will have life-altering consequences.
Unintended pregnancies can jeopardize women’s educations and careers, cause them to suffer social stigma or stay with abusive partners, and lead to serious health complications or even death. Taking away a woman’s ability to have agency over her body is a dangerous violation of her rights — and that’s why we need your help to provide family planning services so women become pregnant only when they’re ready.
With all of these factors threatening a woman’s right to make decisions for her body, we urgently need to know where you stand on the issue. Do you think women should have the right to plan their families? [[link removed]]
YES! [[link removed]] NO [[link removed]]
In 2021 alone, UNFPA — the United Nations sexual and reproductive health and rights agency — successfully distributed more than 700 million condoms globally, prevented 12.7 million unintended pregnancies, and increased access to family planning services. But our work is nowhere near complete — especially at a moment when the reproductive rights of millions are under attack across the globe.
We’re ready to continue our hard work until every single woman and girl has control over her body and whether or not she gets pregnant.
Thank you for joining the team to support this critical work.
