When you hear news about senseless tragedies close to home, or foreign conflicts, or the significant need for food and clean water worldwide, it is easy to feel overwhelmed. You want to help hurting people in your community and people living in the toughest places on earth, but where do you start? Hale’s words remind us that each of us can do something. By God’s grace you can make a difference in someone’s life by relieving their suffering, restoring their dignity, and revealing the hope of Jesus to them.
This month ask God for the grace to express His kindness to those around you.
August Praises and Prayers
* Pray for people living in a war-torn country in the Middle East as they continue to experience one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world. Pray for widows, that their needs will be met. Pray for those who have lost children, that God would comfort them.
* Pray for people who will receive glasses at a vision clinic hosted by GAiN in a new Southeast Asian country this month. Pray for them to experience the kindness of Jesus and to hear about the eternal hope He offers.
* Praise God for the new interns who will be starting at GAiN this month. Pray the next year will be fruitful, fun, and full of opportunities to help relieve suffering, restore dignity, and reveal hope to people around the world.
