2020 PRO-LIFE ACTION DAY
We need you in Jefferson City on Tuesday, March 10!

The most important life event you can plan for in 2020 is to attend Pro-Life Action Day on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the Missouri State Capitol.
Come honor former Missouri Governor and U.S. Attorney General, the Honorable John Ashcroft for his many years of pro-life public service.

Please print off the “Show Me Life” Action Day flyer and distribute to your pro-life friends, family and church members. http://www.missourilife.org/assets/lobby_day_flyer2020.pdf

Your attendance at lobby day is essential to the passage of solid pro-life legislation and defunding Planned Parenthood!

See you in Jefferson City on March 10 at the “Show Me Life Action Day”!
NOTE REGARDING MISSOURI RIGHT TO LIFE PAC OPPOSITION TO MEDICAID EXPANSION:

As you read the following statement regarding Missouri Right to Life State PAC opposition to Medicaid Expansion, remember, the pro-abortion supporters of Medicaid Expansion are asking you to put Medicaid Expansion into the Missouri Constitution without taking into account the very real risk that Congress will abandon the pro-life protections of the annual ‘Hyde Amendment.’ The Hyde Amendment has to be enacted every year or it dies. It is under attack in election campaigns all over the country.

The proponents of expansion are counting on a future when those who support abortion are in control of Congress and will then refuse to pass the ‘Hyde Amendment’. Missouri should not greatly expand the pool of women who will be eligible for government-funded abortions in view of the risk that the Hyde Amendment may not survive to protect their unborn children.

A proposal to place a Medicaid expansion program into the Missouri Constitution is contained in Initiative no. 2020-063 (as numbered by the Secretary of State). Proponents are seeking signatures from voters to put it on the ballot in the fall. The proposal ignores the growing danger that the Hyde Amendment will be terminated in the near future, leaving unborn children completely exposed to governmental funding of abortions if their mothers are covered by Medicaid. The proposal also means greatly expanding current Medicaid funding of abortions of newly-formed human beings by means of prescriptions of the so-called "morning after" pills.

For pro-life reasons, pro-lifers find Initiative 2020-063 unacceptable. Abortions are not health care, and Missouri should not expand a program that will pay for more of them.

Missouri Right to Life Pro-Life Congressmen and women stand up to tell the truth about the pro-abortion ERA.

Here is what Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler said about last week’s House actions on the pro-abortion ERA: The time limit to pass the ERA expired decades ago. Congress can’t go back and remove a deadline from a previous constitutional amendment initiative. The Supreme Court has recognized that the 1972 ERA expired, and the Department of Justice issued a ruling saying, “Congress may not revive a proposed amendment after a deadline for its ratification has expired.” Pretending we can remove the time limits for passage is both futile and deceptive.
