Hi Friend,

Here’s the truth: elections in America are secure and fair, and the results are accurate. That should be common sense, but nearly half of Americans don’t agree. Skepticism of election integrity is more prevalent among Republicans, but a growing share of Democrats don’t trust our election system either.

That’s alarming. Democracy can’t function unless the people have faith in the system. But here’s the thing: our elected officials are making it harder for people to trust election integrity. One clear way is by trying to block groups like No Labels from access to the ballot, which the vast majority of people believe to be voter suppression.

So, what can we – the commonsense majority of Americans – do to restore faith in our democracy? No Labels’ Common Sense policy booklet contains solutions we can all get behind. In short: every legal voter should have the right and the ability to vote, every legal vote should be counted, and every counted vote should be verified.

Three quick fixes will make voting both more accessible and more secure:

- Make it easier to vote by mail, which is how 40% of Americans voted in the 2020 election.
- Count every vote within 24 hours of Election Day, to avoid dragging out the race and creating space for conspiracy theories to run amok.
- Require every voter to have a valid ID, and make it free and easy to get an ID.

It’s simple, it’s common sense.
