John, I don’t “do Congress” like most of my colleagues.
- I don’t take money from corporate PACs, federal lobbyists, or executives from Big Oil, Big Pharma, or Wall Street Banks. I’m the only person in the race who can say this.
- I’m leading the fight to ban Members of Congress and their families from trading stocks.
- When Congress brought back earmarks (which are a way of funding Members’ pet projects) in 2021, I was the only Democrat to oppose them.
- When I’m home in Orange County, my toughest constituents are my three kids. Seriously, they track the bills we vote on and come prepared with the tough (but fair) questions.
