Growing up, my family mostly lived in small apartments. Since I was a little boy, my dream was to buy my mom a house of her own.
John, I can’t tell you how many nights I lay awake imagining driving her into a garage and then handing her the keys to the house. I imagined the tears, the joy.
My dream died when my chance at a football career died. But the dream was resurrected again after I started my own business. The day my dream came true is forever seared into my memory.
My mother wept. So did I. It was one of the most important days of both of our lives. Mom still loves that house.
As Americans, with enough hard work, we have the opportunity to see our wildest dreams become realities. Hollywood isn’t the only place happy endings exist. The storyline can be just as real for poor kids in single-parent households who are desperate for a way out.
In many ways, I believe in redemption, not simply because I’m an eternal optimist, but because I’ve experienced it. And I’ve experienced it because I live in this great nation.
Our Founding Fathers were geniuses. They knew free markets were essential to economic progress. Unlike so many places around the world, in the United States, anyone can climb the economic ladder.
That’s why it pains my soul to see the Biden liberals attacking every rung of the ladder that helped me climb.
Biden has left our southern border wide open. If you don't control your back door, it's not your house! And if we don't control our border, it's not our country!
Our neighborhoods are unsafe. Our communities are being torn apart by identity politics. Our children are being taught America is an evil, declining country.
I’m fighting to save the values that built our country. I will fight every step of the way because America, my home, is worth defending. Future generations deserve to enjoy the same American Dream my family has experienced.
