Hi there,
Did you know that we’re already nine months into this election cycle?
Since day one, NILC Immigrant Justice Fund has stayed full steam ahead developing our strategy to elect more pro-immigrant, pro-democratic leaders, carefully examining Republican incumbents and challengers, and educating voters so they can make informed decisions at the ballot box.
This work takes significant resources, and as a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization, donations in response to emails just like this one keep our work moving forward!
That’s right, grassroots donations directly fuel our work to elect more leaders like Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) and Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA), two steadfast champions for immigrant communities who have exercised bold leadership in the fight for pro-immigrant policies in Congress.
So, if you can, please add a donation to help us build the necessary resources to continue this work at NILC Immigrant Justice Fund. We couldn’t do this without you.
We’re so grateful to have you on our team, and for your support.
Thank you,
Bri Gillis

NILC Immigrant Justice Fund
Last year, NILC Immigrant Justice Fund proudly supported U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal's re-election to Congress, representing Washington's 7th Congressional District. At the start of the 118th Congress this year, she made history as the first immigrant to serve as Ranking Member of the House Judiciary's immigration subcommittee.
In 2016, Rep. Jayapal was the first South Asian American woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. Since her congressional career began, she's been a critical, progressive voice boldly fighting for humane immigration policies, workers' rights and health care access for all, and racial, economic, gender, and immigrant justice.
She has also been instrumental in sponsoring and introducing crucial pieces of legislation, including the Health Equity and Access under Law (HEAL) for Immigrant Families Act, which would remove xenophobic barriers to health care for immigrants, regardless of status.
Years before her congressional career began, Rep. Jayapal immigrated to this country at 16 years old and “was lucky enough to have the opportunity to live the American Dream, a dream that is out of reach for too many immigrants today.”
Her journey is an important reminder that the work we do to amplify immigrant voices and expand our political reach and power is necessary — and our ambitious goals are possible.
We must do everything we can to ensure more leaders like Rep. Jayapal are elected — and that means helping pave the way for immigrants and people of color seeking local, state, and federal office. That's why we do what we do. And that's why we're asking you:
Friend, will you support our work to grow our political presence, power, and influence across the country with a donation today?
Thanks for helping drive our progress,
NILC Immigrant Justice Fund
