In a moment, I'm going to ask you to make a monthly contribution to Callie's campaign for Congress. But first, I want to explain why your contribution is so important:

     1) If elected, Callie would be the first woman to ever represent MI-01.

Seriously. In the 180 years since its creation (before that, we had an at-large district), there has never been a woman to represent MI-01 in Congress.

So - we are making history!

     2) We need to keep up the momentum.

In the first 3 months after launch, we saw a steady stream of donations coming into the campaign. These funds help us organize in Upper & Northern Michigan – but now that Callie has been in the race for more than 3 months, we want to keep our pedal to the metal, and we need your help.

     3) Your contributions are the lifeblood of our campaign

Every donation helps us purchase the nuts and bolts of any campaign: radio and TV advertising, organizing supplies like telephones and yard signs, and the gas that fuels us as we travel the district.

Without your generous contributions, we'd be running this race with one hand tied behind our back. By investing now, you're helping us plant roots across the district and setting us up for success for the remainder of this campaign.

     4) Our average donation value for the month of July was $39

It's not a lot, especially when corporate PACs are allowed to contribute as much as $5,000 per candidate per election. But all it takes is 129 people willing to pitch in $39 to match that – people power!

The truth is, our campaign is rooted right here in Upper & Northern Michigan, which means we need local support to power our progress.
