Republicans in the House of Representatives uncovered evidence this week indicating that FBI Christopher Wray perjured after stating under oath in Congress that the FBI's spying efforts on traditional Catholics was limited to a single office. Now, it seems that the FBI spy ring that planned to infiltrate the Catholic Church and deem Catholics terrorists went beyond just one office into multiple offices around the country. CPAC has long seen through the corruption and malice of the FBI and its current director. After multiple revelations of the FBI's efforts to spy on private citizens and its political witch hunt against President Donald Trump, we are now strengthening our calls for the immediate impeachment of Christopher Wray. Join us in our petition to restore integrity to our justice system. 

CPAC's Nolan Center for Justice published an issue brief commending Macomb County, Michigan Prosecutor Pete Lucido for his implementation of multiple programs that have targeted the root cause of crime and thereby reduced recidivism rates in his county by record percentages. Lucido is leading the state of Michigan with consistent reductions in recidivism rates year over year and innovative initiatives that improve the effectiveness of and encourage humane treatment of criminals within the justice system. 

A proposed new regulation by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management would add another layer of burdensome regulations on the already beleaguered American energy industry by increasing insurance requirements for off-shore oil drilling. The increase in cost that would come with the increased insurance requirements would, in turn, be passed on to the American consumer, inflating the high energy and gas prices further. While American oil companies and American consumers are feeling the pressure on their pocketbooks by the ever greater cost of energy, our foreign adversaries will be profiting from the high prices and reliance on their supplies.
