As we continue the August District Work Period, there are so many positive stories to uplift from our district. Here are just a few events that I want to share from the week:

Congratulations to the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce for earning the "Chamber of the Year" designation from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives! I am thrilled that the Chamber's tremendous work here at home is being recognized nationwide. I was proud to send a letter of commendation to Gwinnett Chamber President and CEO Nick Masino which my office presented at a celebration on Thursday evening.

This week, I was honored to meet with CDC Director Dr. Mandy Cohen and team at CDC's Lawrenceville campus. Since coming to Congress in 2019, I am proud to be a champion for the essential and life-saving work that the men and women of the CDC do every single day. Thank you, Dr. Cohen, for your leadership!

As schools in our district wrap up the second week of classes, I hope families are settling back into their weekly routines and looking forward to a great year.
