  • We have LESS THAN THREE WEEKS left to gather signatures, as we’re submitting at the END OF AUGUST
  • There will NOT be another chance for us to make the ballot
  • At the current rate of signature gathering, we WILL NOT MAKE THE BALLOT
  • We have applied for a grant of $10,000 from National DSA which would help pay canvassers to collect signatures
  • We really need folks to show up in this crucial time, it is make or break for the campaign!

This is a rare opportunity to transfer $90 million EVERY YEAR from the corporate elite to the working class, especially the most marginalized minimum wage workers! THIS IS OUR LAST CHANCE TO QUALIFY FOR THE BALLOT!

 What should I bring to a canvass? 

  • Now that we’re door knocking more often, make sure to bring water, sunscreen, and snacks!
  • If you can, bring a friend! One extra canvasser can DOUBLE our impact!

If getting down to Renton is difficult but you still want to help out, we’ll be hosting an event to help count, validate, and cure our signatures so we can get a higher validity rate. Stay tuned for details!

Over the past year tech companies have reported stratospheric profits while implementing mass layoffs. Workers are facing job insecurity while tech bosses seek to drive down worker expectations and pay. Being in the dark about each other’s wages only helps to enable this pressure. Share your pay information to expose disparities that ultimately drag all of our wages down. We’re different from salary reporting sites because we’re not here to help individuals negotiate, we’re here to build collective power.

Working to create socialism is sometimes … well, a lot of work! If it’s all rallies and meetings and spreadsheets, it can turn into a drag real quick. We think it’s important to have some time to just simply get to know each other, connect over food and drinks, and have fun together — that’s what this social is for! No big speeches, no business, just time to connect with other leftists.

This social will be at Seward Park near Shelter #2. This event will be a potluck, so please bring something to share! We’ll have some chairs, tables, and blankets but feel free to bring your own as well. We’ll send details about exactly where we’ll be once you RSVP as well as a phone number for someone that will be ready to come pick you up from wherever you can park if the lot is full!

  • Not a member? Not a problem! We’ll have several folks present to answer any questions you may have about Seattle DSA. Whether you are a long-time member or just curious about Seattle DSA, this event is for you!
  • It’s fine to arrive late — we’ll be around till at least 6.
