Students across Texas are headed back to school over the next week, and here’s how things are going:

This is the sad truth of what’s happening to public education in Texas: underfunding, teacher shortages, converting libraries to detention centers and requiring armed personnel on every public school campus.

Our kids deserve better than this.

Our kids deserve fully funded schools.

Our kids deserve teachers that are paid what they deserve.

Our kids deserve libraries that are safe places to learn.

Our kids deserve to be safe at school WITHOUT putting guns on our campuses.
