Fact: CA Governor Gavin Newsom proposed a 28th Amendment to the Constitution earlier this summer in an effort to combat gun violence that is plaguing our nation.
Fact: This amendment would impose a higher minimum age to buy a gun, implement universal background checks, and finally ban assault weapons.
Fact: Gun proponents, including the NRA, have called this plan “unhinged” despite public polling showing that a significant majority of Americans support efforts to combat gun violence. |
