John, now that I’ve launched my campaign, I want to take a minute to share a little bit of my story and explain why your support means so much to me. It would mean a lot if you would read until the end -- but if you’re short on time, can you chip in $15 before logging off? Even a small contribution on your part makes all the difference in my fight to flip this seat for Democrats. >>
John, I want to tell you a little bit about myself.
My first job out of college was teaching middle school science.
Me and my students!
I still feel the impact my students had on my life as a teacher.
They inspired me with their infinite potential, challenged me to think in new ways, and prepared me for life as a public servant.
My students are the reason why I passed legislation to strengthen our public schools, increased funding for education, and fought to expand health care to thousands of Nebraska children.
And after seven years of doing all of this work in the Nebraska Legislature, I’m ready to continue this work in Congress.
Seriously, John: I know how much teaching and learning goes into being an elected official. I’m ready to learn from Nebraskans about their needs and priorities -- not ignore them like Don Bacon does. And I’m ready to teach Washington politicians the needs of Nebraska's second district. But to get there, I’m counting on your $15 before midnight. Can I count on you to chip in? >>
John, I don’t like having to ask you for money.
But defeating Don Bacon -- and his $1.4 million war chest -- will take all of us.
So I’m humbly asking you to join this team, John. Can I count on you with $15 before midnight? I need you on my side to flip this seat and make a real change for Nebraska families. >>
Thank you so much for your support,
Tony
