Our democracy is under attack as extremists continue their efforts to restrict ballot access and undermine faith in our elections. This week, I was proud to stand alongside my local partners in government and announce the introduction of the Freedom to Vote Act. This critical legislation will help modernize our elections systems and take proactive steps to protect every eligible American’s right to vote in secure, accessible, and transparent elections.

As the leading Democrat on the Committee on House Administration, I’m proud to be leading the charge in Congress to protect the sacred right to vote. I look forward to working with my colleagues in Washington to advancing this legislation and seeing it passed into law.

Working to Make Healthcare Accessible for All

It is always great to get to spend time in Orleans County—yesterday I joined CEO Karen Kinter and the rest of the Oak Orchard Health team to cut the ribbon on their new dental center.

Oak Orchard Health has helped so many people in our community receive the high-quality healthcare services they deserve, and their commitment and compassion is truly transformative. I’m grateful for everything their team does, and I’m proud to continue supporting their efforts to make healthcare more accessible and affordable for all.

Welcoming Our Newest Neighbors

Rep. Morelle stands with families at their naturalization ceremony

On Tuesday, I spoke to a group of our newest citizens during their naturalization ceremony and officially welcomed them to our community. This momentous ceremony served as a reminder to all of us that our nation’s strength lies in its ability to welcome people from all corners of the world, weaving a beautiful tapestry of cultures, traditions, and perspectives.

It was an honor to offer them my congratulations as they embark on their journey as new citizens of our great nation.
