FIRST: Some of Hawley’s top supporters announced they’re refusing to support his re-election campaign this cycle — including his former mentor, three-term GOP U.S. Senator Jack Danforth, who said supporting Hawley in 2018 was “one of the worst mistakes he’s ever made in his life.”

THEN: Polling from Morning Consult showed Josh Hawley has the lowest approval of any Republican U.S. Senator running for re-election in 2024 — even worse than Ted Cruz and Rick Scott!

AND NOW: National Republicans are dumping money into our race — more than a year out from Election Day — to prop up Hawley and his flailing campaign.
