Greetings,
We hope you have had a great week! Congressman Kim enjoyed a busy week across the district visiting with a variety of local gems, including childcare services, farms, healthcare providers, and others. It is a privilege to be able to see the great work out in the community to support one another.
Our hearts are with the families and communities devastated by wildfires in Maui, Hawaii. We are heartbroken as the tragic updates continue today of the number of lives lost and forever changed.
As always, we hope you find these updates and resources helpful.

Honoring Lt. Governor Sheila Oliver’s Life and Service
This week New Jersey continued to mourn the passing of our Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver, as she lay in state at the capitol. We were so lucky to have her as a voice and tireless leader for our New Jersey communities. She will forever be remembered for her inspiring service to New Jersey.
Congressman Kim Reintroduces Military Family Protection from Debt Act
Today, Congressman Kim reintroduced his Military Family Protection from Debt Act that would ease financial burdens for servicemembers and their families.
The Military Protection from Debt Act would help reduce interest rates on pre-service loans for the families of reserve and guard servicemembers serving on active duty and ease financial burdens while their servicemember is deployed. Interest rates are already capped at six percent for servicemembers during their deployment, and this legislation would expand the same protections to military family members. Military families sacrifice alongside our servicemembers when on deployment and Congress should provide them with any protections they need to be able to keep food on the table and a roof over their head.
Congressman Kim Secures Essential Funding to Expand Mental Healthcare Services in Burlington County
At the start of the week, Congressman Kim joined Virtua Health and Senator Bob Menendez to celebrate the critical funding he and the Senator secured for a new mental health facility in Willingboro. The Congressman successfully requested $1,000,000 in Community Project Funding for Virtua’s Children Achieving Success through Therapeutic Life Experiences (CASTLE) program.
The new facility’s comprehensive mental healthcare will allow Virtua to serve an unmet need in the Burlington County region for children and their families.
