Team, as County Executive, I’ve learned that the fastest way to
never solve your problems is to sit around waiting for a magic bullet
solution.

And when it comes to an urgent crisis like climate change, it’s not just
foolish to wait for that magic bullet – it’s downright dangerous.

In Washington, too many folks are hoping Republicans will see the writing
on the wall about climate change and we’ll finally pass the legislation
needed to solve it before it’s too late.

I’m an optimist, friend, but I’m not holding my breath!

That’s why I prefer a different approach. I like to look at a HUGE problem
like climate change, break it down, and tackle it one thoughtful step at a
time.

first, can I ask you to chip in $10 to help me go even farther for
Marylanders in the Senate?

Here in Prince George’s, we invested over a billion dollars into
stormwater management. We removed over 400 tons of litter from waterways,
protected clean water access, modernized our drainage systems, and built
flood-prevention infrastructure in high-risk areas.

We reduced waste by creating a countywide composting program, introducing
a recovery system to keep useful materials out of landfills, and
installing 29 solar trash and recycling stations at bus stops across the
county.

We reduced our carbon footprint by building electric vehicle
infrastructure, improving accessibility for bikers and pedestrians, and
securing $540 million in funding to develop walkable, bikeable
neighborhoods.

I’m proud of the work we’ve done at the county level. But we didn’t get
here overnight. We made slow and steady progress one day and one
initiative at a time.

This Senate campaign is no different. It may look like one huge
undertaking, but in reality, success is the sum total of thousands of
hours of hard work and small, individual contributions from dedicated
folks like you.

[ [link removed] ]So please, can I count on your support to get us just one step closer
to a better, brighter future for Maryland?
