Coming from Texas and an oil and gas family, I understand the importance of protecting this vital industry. This industry supports good-paying jobs, and provides Americans with affordable and reliable energy that is needed for nearly every aspect of our lives.
That’s why I’ve used my position on the Energy and Commerce Committee to stand up for American energy dominance and America’s energy workers.
I’ve introduced legislation to:
- Protect America’s refiners from the overzealous lawsuits of radical environmental activists.
- Ensure Joe Biden cannot indefinitely delay energy projects.
- Speed up the approval process for American oil production so we’re not relying on foreign adversaries to meet our energy needs.
This work is critical because, under Joe Biden, we’ve sacrificed our position as a global leader in energy production, which has destabilized the geopolitical landscape around the world and made energy bills unaffordable for too many Americans.
Thankfully, with a Republican House Majority, we have the power to make incremental progress on this issue. That’s why it’s so important that we keep the House in Republican hands so we can continue to prevent Joe Biden from using Congress to further the agenda of the far-left that wants to completely abolish American oil and gas.
