Did you see the news? Exxon, Shell, Total and Chevron together made $33.2 billion in profit in the first quarter of 2023 alone1 — this could fully electrify an estimated 55 million rural households without energy and grid access.2
The coal, oil and gas giants would have us think that there can be no world free from Shell, BP, and Exxon. If we lose hope for a better tomorrow, they win.
But we know better. Across the planet, people are already leading the way towards a clean, just, renewable world. We’re ready to build that future from the ground up. We have the solutions — now it’s time to Power. Them. Up!
That’s why we’re launching Global Power Up, a day of action like nothing we’ve ever tried before. Together, we’ll show everyone a world where cheap renewable energy powers up our communities. The money is there to pay for it — in the obscene profits Shell, Exxon, Total, and BP have been making for decades, while destroying our planet to fuel their greed. It’s time we take it.
The sun, the wind, and the tides are our tools of resistance — and we’re claiming them back.
In the first days of November, on every continent, from big cities to small islands: we’ll take action in our communities and imagine a future beyond coal, oil, and gas.
