Greetings from Iowa, John!
It’s my first time in Iowa, and I’m extremely excited to be here! I’m spending this weekend at the fairgrounds with my Mom for the Iowa State Fair.
We have a loaded schedule. After my Mom landed yesterday, she spoke on the Ruthless podcast LIVE from the fairgrounds. Today, she’s doing a policy talk with Senator Joni Ernst, and tomorrow we’ll be back at the fair where she’ll have a Fair-Side Chat with Governor Reynolds and speak at the Des Moines Register Soapbox. And that’s not even half of it!
But even though she’ll have a busy schedule, she’s still making time for us to have Mom-Son time at the fair.
Before I take off for the next activity on the list, I thought I’d take a quick break from the festivities to let you know why this weekend is so important and see if you could participate in today’s $5 Friday.
The Iowa State Fair is more than just the iconic butter cow, fried food, live music, and fun games. It’s also a major opportunity for presidential candidates to engage with voters and set the tone for their campaigns ahead of the Iowa caucuses.
Let’s be honest – my Mom is no stranger to Iowa, John. She has been all over the Hawkeye State these past few months and will no doubt recognize many faces. But, with this weekend comes a unique opportunity for her to engage directly with massive crowds of Iowans in a short period of time.
If you are reading this from Iowa, I have no doubt that my Mom will be the hardest-working candidate at the fair over the next few days and I hope you get a chance to meet her!
The momentum surrounding my Mom's campaign is real, John. I could feel it the moment we set foot in Iowa, and it's only growing stronger. Her dedication to spreading her message and engaging with Americans knows no bounds, as I've witnessed firsthand week after week. She's not just participating; she's here to secure victory.
However, this is not the time to take her foot off the gas. After the Iowa State Fair, the first Presidential Debate will be here before we know it.
